Stanley – The Stanley Blue Jays held off the Parshall Braves 85-75 on Friday night.
The Blue Jays jumped out to an early 14 point lead but Parshall would crawl back to take the lead in the second quarter, thanks in large part to some hot outside shooting by junior Josh Hart.
Stanley countered with their own sharp shooter, Matt Patten. The senior was lights out for the Blue Jays finishing with 28 points, while shooting 73% from the field (4-6 from 3pt).
The Blue Jays would pull away once again in the third quarter and it looked like the rout was on. However, the Braves would rally once again to pull within 9 points midway through the fourth quarter.
Stanley would prove to be a little too deep down the stretch, and they would hold on for a 10 point victory.
Senior standout Wyatt Hanson finished with 28 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists.
Hart finished with a game high 30 points to pace the Braves.
The Blue Jays move to 15-0 with the victory, they will host the Mohall-Lansford-Sherwood Mavericks on Monday. That game will be livestreamed on the Stanley Gazette Homepage.
