Killdeer tops Stanley in girls hoops

Killdeer – Killdeer was able to overcome an early Stanley Blue Jays lead to claim a 63-49 win in girls basketball action.

The Blue Jays jumped out to a early 11-4 lead but Killdeer would take a 24-21 lead into halftime. “Early in the game we moved the ball really well offensively,” said Blue Jays Coach Kelly Roemmich.

The Blue Jays (4-3) were hampered by turnovers that thwarted their offensive flow and enabled the Killdeer Cowboys to pull away in the second half, “We need to cut down on our turnovers, they are leading to transition layups,” said Roemmich.
