Local retailers seeing huge boost in lottery sales

Stanley – Stanley retailers are seeing a huge surge in Powerball sales with the projected jackpot at $1.3 Billion.

Area businesses like the Fuel Force convenience store have seen a variety of new customers trying to win the big prize. “When jackpots get extraordinarily high,  we will see an increase in the number of tickets sold but never anything like this,” said Fuel Force manager Josh Ramberg. “We’re seeing folks playing the lotto that normally never play.”

The next Powerball drawing is Wednesday night, Powerball tickets cost $2/set of numbers. Lottery tickets cannot be purchased with a credit card.
