Trenton edges Stanley in girls hoops

Trenton – The Stanley Blue Jays were able to surge in the third quarter but the Trenton Tigers would hold on for 62-53 win.

The Blue Jays found themselves in a 17 point hole at halftime, but they would rally in the third quarter to cut the deficit to 4.  Stanley would run out of steam in the fourth quarter though and come up just short in their comeback bid.

Senior Lacey Meiers paced the Blue Jays offensively with 14 points. Junior Caitlyn Enger, senior Megan Mills, sophomore Abby Iverson all scored in double digits for Stanley.

The Stanley Blue Jays end the regular season at 13-6 and enter the district tournament as the #1 seed.
