Tioga – The Stanley Blue Jays punched their ticket into the District 16 Boys Championship game with a convincing 87-46 win over Power Lake on Saturday.
The Blue Jays were able to jump out to a 25-12 first quarter lead, Stanley sophomore Wyatt Hanson outscored the ranchers 14-12 in the first quarter. Hanson would end with a game high 29 points.
Stanley senior Bray Meyer and sophomore Kaedyn Hanson each added 12 points for the Blue Jays.
The Blue Jays were also able to show off their depth, this was the second consecutive game that Stanley had 11 players score points.
The Stanley Blue Jays win sets up a rematch with the Kenmare Honkers. The Honkers edged the Blue Jays 48-45 in the teams only meeting this season.
The Championship is expected to tip-off at 7:30pm in Tioga (Monday 29th).
