Lakers edge the Blue Jays in prep football

Des Lacs – The Stanley Blue Jays lost a nail biter to the Des Lacs- Burlington Lakers in North Dakota high school football action 33-32.

Stanley senior Logan Aadnes scored his 3rd touchdown of the game to give the Blue Jays a 26-13 lead in the first half.  The Lakers would rally back to go up 33-26 late in the 3rd quarter. The Blue Jays were able to add a late score from Dalton Brown but were unable to convert the extra point and were forced to settle for a hard fought 1-point loss.

Tate Enget also added a first quarter touchdown for the Blue Jays.

The Blue Jays will look to rebound in their home opener against the Grafton Spoilers, the game is set for 7pm on Friday, Sept. 2nd.
