North Dakota State Football ranked 27th in latest AP poll

The North Dakota State Bison Football team received enough votes (77) to tie UCLA for the 27th spot in this week’s Associated Press poll.

The Bison are fresh off a victory over the previously ranked (#13) Iowa
Hawkeyes, the Hawkeyes recieved 47 votes this week and are now ranked 30th.

It is rare that an FCS program like North Dakota State receives any consideration in wire service polls, but the Bison boast five straight National Championships and a multiple wins over power 5 conference teams.

The top five in latest AP poll is as follows:

  1. Alabama
  2. Ohio State
  3. Louisville
  4. Michigan
  5. Clemson

Sidenote: North Dakota State received more votes than Notre Dame, the Fighting Irish received 32 votes.
