Dickinson Trinity tops Stanley in regular season finale

Dickinson – The Stanley Blue Jays traveled down to Dickinson Trinity to take on the Titans in the regular season finale for both teams.

The Titans were able to take an 8-0 lead a couple minutes into the first quarter following a long touchdown pass from Lucas Jones to Keagan Jacobson. Neither team would find the end-zone until Hunter Dassinger scored on a short run to put the Titans up 16-0 with a little over 4 minutes to go in the first half. The scoring would continue after Jones converted on his second touchdown pass of the game to put the Titans up 23-0. Jacobson would add his second touchdown reception of the game early in the fourth quarter and put the Titans up 29-0. Stanley senior Logan Aadnes converted a 2yd run to put the Blue Jays on the board late in the fourth quarter, the final score would end up 29-7.

Lucas Jones ended with 3 touchdown passes to pace the Titans. Dickinson Trinity clinches the #3 seed from the West Region, they will travel to either Fargo Shanley or Hillsboro for their first round playoff matchup.

The Stanley Blue Jays season comes to end with a 2-5 conference record and a 2-7 record overall.
