Stanley Lions Basketball Tournament Preview

Stanley – The Stanley Lions Boys Basketball kicks off on Monday (December 12th). The Stanley Gazette will be live streaming (video) all of the first round games, semifinals, and the Championship game.

The Live Video feed will be available on the Stanley Gazette Homepage (Follow along on Facebook/Twitter for more updates on all of tournament action.

Here is a breakdown of what you can expect to see:

First Round:

Berthold Bombers vs. Divide County Maroons (6pm Monday)

Berthold won the Stanley Lions Tournament last year. The Bombers are coming off a 16-7 season. Divide County was 2-19 last season.

Burke County Titans vs. Powers Lake Ranchers (7:45 Monday)

Powers Lake is coming off of a 12-9 season last year, while Burke County was 8-13 last season. The Ranchers won 3 of their 4 meetings with the Titans last season.

Stanley Blue Jays vs. North Shore Plaza Wildcats  (6:00 Tuesday)

The Stanley Blue Jays were runner-up in the Stanley Lions Tournament last season. The Blue Jays finished with a 16-7 record last season, while the wildcats went 9-14.

Tioga Pirates vs. Ray Jays (7:45 Tuesday)

The Tioga Pirates went 11-12 last season, while the Ray Jays went 7-14. The Pirates won all 4 meeting with the Jays last season.
