Stanley Lions Tournament: Ranchers ride past Titans in second half

Stanley – The Powers Lake Ranchers used a 39 point second half to secure a 65-52 win in the first round of the Stanley Lions Tournament. The Ranchers trailed the Burke County Titans 26-25 at half time but the Ranchers would outscore the Titans by 13 points the rest of the way.

The Ranchers received a big second half boost from Aiden Nordloef who scored all 15 of his points in the second stanza, including a 4 point play in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach.

Matthew Hinds of the Titans and Justin Van Berkom of the Ranchers each had 16 points to lead all scorers.

The Ranchers advance to the semifinals with the win, they will face the Berthold Bombers at 6pm on Thursday. The Powers Lake vs. Berthold game will be streamed live on the Stanley Gazette Homepage.
