Hanson, Blue Jays fly high in opener

Stanley – Wyatt Hanson came out firing for the Stanley Blue Jays in their 85-70 win over the North Shore/Plaza Wildcats.

The sharpshooting junior scored 14 of his game high 33 points in the first quarter. Hanson was impressive in the Blue Jays home opener, likely a prelude to the rest of his season. Seth Hetzel and Matt Patten combined for 6 3-pointers, the duo also combined for 29 points.

Senior Logan Aadnes was a one man press breaker and added a few dazzling finishes of his own. Another bright spot was Ryan Nesheim, the senior chipped in 9 points and was steady on the defensive block all night for the Blue Jays.

The Wildcats battled back in the third quarter to cut a 22 point halftime deficit to 6 points, but the Blue Jays were too much in the fourth quarter and eased away with a 15 point victory.;

The Blue Jays advance to semifinals and they will face the Ray Jays at approx 7:30pm. We are hoping to have the Live Feed back up and running for the semifinal games.
