Berthold holds off Stanley for Championship, Ranchers take 3rd

Stanley – The Berthold Bombers were able to outlast the Stanley Blue Jays 76-68 in a rematch of last year’s Stanley Lions Tournament Championship.

Garrett Hanson and Alex Nelson combined for 22 first quarter points for the Berthold Bombers as they jumped out to an early 27-11 first quarter lead. The Blue Jays would battle back to make the game interesting the rest of the way, but the Bombers proved to be too much in the end. Garrett Hanson lead all scorers with 27 points.

Wyatt Hanson lead the Blue Jays with 20, Logan Aadnes had 19 points as well for Stanley.

The Blue Jays will face the Tioga Pirates on Monday at 7:30pm in Tioga.
