Stanley tops Tioga in District 16 hoops

Tioga- The Stanley Blue Jays cruised past the Tioga Pirates 70-38 in District 16 boys basketball.

The Blue Jays dominated from the opening tip and never let the Tioga Pirates get any type of momentum going. Junior Matt Patten scored 10 of his 18 points in the first quarter, helping the Blue Jays jump out to a 14 point first quarter lead. The Blue Jays would expand that lead to 25 point before halftime.

Wyatt Hanson scored 18 points as well, tying Patten for game-high honors. The junior also added 2 huge dunks to his season total.

Junior Kaedyn Hanson also slammed home a dunk of his own in the fourth quarter. (See Video Below)

Senior Logan Aadnes added 13 points, giving the Blue Jays 3 players in double figures.

Kobie Longie led the Pirates with 11 points.

The Blue Jays move to 3-1 on the season.
