Parshall – The Parshall Braves held off the Stanley Blue Jays to pick up a 67-63 victory in Region 8 Boys Basketball action.
The Braves used a nice run midway through the second quarter to pull ahead by 9 points. That lead would shrink in the second half as the Blue Jays were able to pull within 3 points on multiple occasions. Unfortunately, every time the Blue Jays would rally, the Braves would answer right back.
The Blue Jays figured to get boost late in the fourth when Wyatt Hanson picked up a loose ball and slammed it home, the dunk ignited the large Stanley Blue Jay fan base who made the trek down to Parshall. However, the Braves would answer back with a dunk of their own, when Bill Moran slammed home a thunderous dunk of his own. Moran finished with a team high 24 points for the Braves.
The Blue Jays would have a few opportunities in the last minute to cut the lead to one point but they couldn’t get anything to fall, allowing the Braves to seal the victory.

Deyondre Simpson was excellent for the Braves, the senior hit three 3-pointers and terrorized the Blue Jays for much of the game.
Junior Wyatt Hanson poured in a game high 33 to lead the Blue Jays offensively. Hanson has been impressive for the Blue Jays all season, tonight was no exception.
The Blue Jays will host North Shore/Plaza on Tuesday.
