Ray – The #3 seeded Divide County Maroons got a bit of a scare from the #6 Burke County Titans in their opening round matchup. The Maroons looked like they were going to run a away with the game before the Titans rallied from a 13 point 3rd quarter deficit to tie the game. Things would stay interesting until the Maroons pulled away with a few minutes remaining.
Divide County sophomore Lauryn Heide had an excellent game for the Maroons, coming up with numerous big plays down the stretch to ensure that the Maroons would move onto the semifinals. Heide led all scorers in the first round with 22 points.
The Maroons will face the Ray Jays in the semifinals tomorrow night at 7:30pm.
