Honkers rally past Titans for berth in District 16 title game

Crosby – The Kenmare Honkers rallied back from a 10 point deficit in the 3rd quarter to advance to the District 16 Championship game with a 67-58 victory over the Burke County Titans.

The Titans had no answer for Jacob Rodin in the second half, the junior poured in a game high 28 points.

Seniors Kolten Jesz and Hunter Rodin also left their mark on the second half, the duo combined for 31 points.

Junior Josh Kihle paced the Titans with 18 points, highlighted by a second half dunk.

The Honkers will face the Stanley Blue Jays in the championship game on Monday. The Titans will take on the Tioga Pirates in the Region 8 qualifying game.
