Northwest Conference Indoor Track Meet Recap

Minot – Des-Lacs Burlington/Lewis and Clark cruised to the Northwest Conference Indoor Track meet title, dominating the short distance and field events. The Watford City girls won easily as well, the Wolves also dominated the field events.

NORTHWEST CONFERENCE INDOOR TRACK MEET BOYS RESULTS (2017)

Des-Lacs Burlington/Lewis Clark senior Mark Medalen set two individual meet records in the 200 meter dash (23.44) and 400 meter dash (52.60) and was part of a relay team that set a new meet record (4x100m) (1:14.03).

New Town’s Chase Hale set meet records in the 800 (2:05) and 1600 (4:37) meter runs, Hale also finished 2nd in the 3200 meter run (10:27).

Junior Wyatt Hanson placed 4th in the 200 meter dash (24.32), senior Tate Enget  also picked up points in the 200 meter dash, finishing 7th (25.22).

Sophomore Aiden Nordloef finished fourth in the shot put (39’ 7”).

Steffen Dewalder finished 6th in the 400 meter dash (58.53).

Tarek Enget finished 8th in the 800 meter run (2:27.39).

NORTHWEST CONFERENCE INDOOR TRACK MEET GIRLS RESULTS (2017)

Parshall’s Cedar Hall picked up two first place finishes, winning the 400 meter dash (1:03) and 800 meter run (2:36). Her 400 meter time set a new meet record.

The Blue Jays took first in the 4×100 meter relay. Abby Iverson, Grace Sorenson, Erin Payne, and Hayley Schmidt made up the winning relay team.

Hayley Schmidt finished in 2nd place in the 200 meter dash (28.47). Grace Sorenson also picked up points for the Blue Jays in the 200 meter dash, placing 5th (30.1)

Other notable Stanley-Powers Lake individual finishers:

Chloe Gunderson finished 3rd in the shot put (30’5″)

Grace Bates, Grave Hove, Hannah Sorenson, and Shambre Feiring took 3rd place in the 4×800 (11:20.19).

Iverson also picked up a fourth place finish in the 55 meter hurdles (10.25).

Shambre Feiring finished 6th place in the 1600 meter run (6:03), Abby Sundley finished 8th in the 1600 (6:31).

Samantha Honrud placed 6th in the shot put (27.5′).

Hannah Sorenson also picked up points for Stanley finishing 7th in the 800 meter run (2:51).
