Blue Jays cruise past Cardinals in softball opener

Washburn – The Stanley Blue Jays exploded past the Washburn Cardinals for a convincing 14-3 road victory in their season opener.

Alyssa Ruden struck out 11 Cardinal’s batters, the freshman allowed only 3 hits in the game.

Junior Hope Parmeter hit her first career homerun in the 5th inning, she also picked up a game high 4 RBI.

Senior Caitlyn Enger had a game high 4 runs.

The Blue Jays will travel to Ray on April 10th to take on the Jays.
