Rodin, Mavericks cruise past Blue Jays

Stanley – The Mohall-Lansford-Sherwood Mavericks cruised past the Stanley Blue Jays in prep baseball action on Tuesday.

Hunter Rodin pitched a gem for the Mavericks, striking out 7 Blue Jays in 6 innings enroute to a 13-1 victory.

The game was still competitive until the Mavericks exploded for 6 runs in the top of the fifth inning, extending their lead to 10-1.

Senior Wyatt Schmidt paced the Maverick offense with 3 singles. Isaac Undlin, Talon Thompson, and Berkley Santos all picked up a double and a single.

Mason Rice picked up a couple of hits to lead the Blue Jay offense.

The Blue Jays will travel to take on the Ray Jays on Friday.
