Dolezal regains USA Track and Field Javelin throne

Stanley native Riley Dolezal captured his second USA Track & Field Javelin Championship on Saturday.

Dolezal trailed fellow Team Nike member Cyrus Hostetler after his first attempt but came up with the second-best toss of his career (268’ 3”) to win the title.

Dolezal has been a mainstay at the top of the javelin community since his 2013 USATF Title, he was also runner up in ’14 and ’15 and finished in 3rd place in ’16.

Dolezal moves into 31st place in the world rankings, which would be good enough to earn him a place at the 2017 World Championship in London if he stays there.
