Stanley – Wyatt Hanson and the Stanley Blue Jays made short work of Lewis and Clark en route to their first playoff berth in four years.
The Blue Jays opened up the scoring when Cody Rudolph took a Wyatt Hanson pass to pay dirt with 5 minutes left in the first quarter.
Hanson picked up two more touchdown passes in the first half. The first went to junior Seth Hetzel, the second one came on a nice deep ball to senior Mike Gunderson.
Hetzel and Hanson would connect again late in the third quarter to put the Blue Jays 29-8.
The Blue Jay defense would get a touchdown of their own when Hanson took an interception to the house on the Bombers next possession.
Hanson would connect with fellow senior Cody Ruden for his fifth touchdown pass of the game early in the fourth to put the Blue Jays up 42-8.
Nick Johnson would add a score in the final minute to put a cherry on a 48-8 Stanley victory.
The Blue Jays finished the regular season with a 4-4 record. They will travel to Dickinson Trinity to take on the Titans in the opening round of the playoffs.
