Dickinson – The Dickinson Trinity Titans dropped their season opener to the Bowman County Bulldogs, but have been pretty much invincible since (have only allowed 2 points in their previous six games).
The Titans wasted zero time in their opening round matchup against the Stanley Blue Jays. Dickinson Trinity forced a fumble on the second play of the game, allowing Joe Bates to punch in a touchdown four plays later to put the Titans up 7-0.
Junior quarterback Aric Knopik would connect with Bates for a touchdown a few minutes later to put the Titans up 14-0. Knopik would add a rushing touchdown with under two minutes left in the 1st quarter to put the Titans up 20-0.

Knopik would connect with Noah Sickler for his second passing touchdown of the game. Bates would add another touchdown on the ground to round out the first half scoring (41-0).
The Blue Jays couldn’t seem to get the offense rolling against the stout Titans defense.
Senior Mike Gunderson would get the Blue Jays on the board in the final moments, but the Titans would win 47-6.
The Titans will face the Des Lacs-Burlington Lakers in the quarterfinals. The Lakers rolled past the Killdeer Cowboys 22-0 in their opening round game.
The Blue Jays finish the season with a 4-5 record.
