Ray – The Stanley Blue Jays made short work of the Parshall Braves in the opening round of the Region 8 Volleyball Tournament.
The District 16 Champions experienced a bit of turbulence early in the first set and found themselves tied 9-9, but they rallied to go on a 16-6 run to close the set.
Sophomore Jossi Meyer was a force in the middle, coming up with a game high 17 kills.
The service game was working for the Stanley Blue Jays as well. Sophomore Daphne Enander led the way with 7 aces, a string of which started a Blue Jay rally in the third and final set.
Senior Abby Iverson had 9 digs to lead the Blue Jays. Sophomore Taylor Dean had a team high 12 assists.
The Blue Jays will play tomorrow night at 7:30 pm against the Kenmare Honkers.
