Area teams receive votes in first North Dakota Class B basketball poll

A trio of Region 8 teams received votes in the first North Dakota Class B girls basketball poll. New Town, Kenmare, and Watford City are all knocking on the door of the top 10.

Kenmare opened the season with wins over Glenburn, Westhope-Newburg, and South Prairie.

New Town is 2-1 with wins over Bishop Ryan and Ray. The Eagles only loss came at the hands of Park River-Fordville Lankin.

Watford City opens their season tonight in the Roughrider Tournament in Killdeer.

Others Receiving Votes: New Town (2-1), Dickinson Trinity (2-0), Kenmare (3-0), Killdeer (1-1), Beach (2-0), Des Lacs-Burlington (1-0), LaMoure-Litchville-Marion (1-0), Park River-Fordville-Lankin (1-1), Watford City (0-0), Hettinger-Scranton (2-0), May-Port CG (2-0), Underwood (2-0), Bishop Ryan (0-2), Bowman County (2-0), Enderlin (2-0).

This poll was voted on by members of the North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NDAPSSA).
