Blue Jays, Maroons advance at Tioga Tip-Off Tournament

Tioga – Senior Abby Iverson poured in a game high 20 points to lead the Blue Jays over the Ray Jays 63-34 in the opening round of the Tioga Tip-Off Tournament.

Sophomore Taylor Dean (13 points), freshman Logan Lapica (12 points), and sophomore Jossi Meyer (11 points) all scored in double digits for the Blue Jays.

Senior Britne Viall paced the Jays with 12 points.

The Blue Jays will face the Divide County Maroons in the semifinals on Thursday.

Tioga – Divide County jumped out early en-route to a 44-26 victory over the Tioga Pirates.

Junior Lauryn Heide scored 16 points to lead all scorers.

Tioga – Powers Lake was able to pull away from Stanley’s JV in the second half to advance to the consolation finals.

Jessica Rosencrans poured in a game high 15 points to lead the Ranchers.

Sophomore Alyssa Ruden scored 12 points to lead the Blue Jays.
