Stanley cruises past Tioga, moves to 5-0

Stanley – The Stanley Blue Jays blew out the Tioga Pirates 8 days ago in the opening round of the Stanley Lions Tournament. Tonight, would be a similar story. The Blue Jays opened the game on a 15-3 run and never looked back.

Stanley shot a blistering 66% from the field, including a near flawless (11/13) shooting from senior standout Kaedyn Hanson.

Hanson paced the Blue Jays with 24 points, he is the fourth player to lead the Blue Jays in scoring this season (Wyatt Hanson, Seth Hetzel, and Matt Patten).

The lopsided nature of the game gave coach Kory Anderson an opportunity to give his depth players some extended minutes. This makes the numbers that the quartet of K. Hanson, W. Hanson, Hetzel, and Patten put up, that much more impressive. The quartet played the equivalent of one half but combined for staggering 81 points.

The Blue Jays move to 5-0 on the season. They were ranked #1 in the latest Class B basketball poll.

The Blue Jays will be back in action on January 2nd when they travel to Bowbells to take on Burke County.
