Bowbells – Tuesday’s match-up between the Stanley Blue Jays and Burke County Titans could very well be a preview of the District 16 Championship in February.
If that happens, the Blue Jays would be hoping to repeat tonight’s dominating 62-28 performance.
The Blue Jays were in firm control for most of the game but really broke things open in the 3rd quarter when they outscored the Titans 18-2.
The 28 points allowed are by far the fewest that they Blue Jays have given up in a game this season.
Stanley’s Kaedyn Hanson did a nice job of keeping fellow big man Josh Kihle in check, holding him to just 9 points. The duo are two of the best posts in Region 8.
Wyatt Hanson paced all scorers with 17 points. Matt Patten (15 points) and Seth Hetzel (13 points) both scored in double figures for Stanley.
The Blue Jays move to 6-0 on the season, they will travel to Powers Lake on Friday.
