Minot – The Killdeer Cowboys are heading the State Class B Girls Basketball Championship following their 48-47 victory over the Thompson Tommies.
The Tommies took an eight-point lead with under four minutes in the 3rd quarter, but Cowboys would rally right back, thanks in large part to their swarming defense (The Cowboys forced 17 turnovers in the game).
Neither team could pull away in the fourth quarter and it became clear that we would see another excellent finish at the State Class B Girls Basketball Tournament.
